Full Stack Engineer

We are seeking a creative and energetic Full Stack Software Engineer to join our founding product team. This role is pivotal in translating early-stage ideas into functional, interactive prototypes showcasing the potential of LGND's platform. You will primarily work with React and Python, interfacing with LGND's APIs, geospatial services, and emerging AI frameworks, including protocols like Model Context Protocol (MCP). This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, experimental environment, capable of rapidly validating features and use cases. You will collaborate closely with product and research teams to build lightweight interfaces, map-based UIs, and spatial visualizations that bring geospatial data and AI results to life. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the frontend of an AI-native geospatial platform before scaling the engineering and design team further.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with React, including component architecture, state management, and styling frameworks
• Familiarity with mapping libraries such as Mapbox or Leaflet
• Working knowledge of Python for API integration and backend logic
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON payloads, and asynchronous programming
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Ability to rapidly prototype, test, and iterate UI components with minimal supervision
• Comfort with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions
• Interest or curiosity in AI/ML systems, especially geospatial foundation models and vector embeddings
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-moving startup environment

Responsibilities:

• Translate early-stage ideas into interactive, map-based prototypes within days
• Develop and iterate on spatially aware frontend interfaces using React and mapping libraries
• Integrate LGND’s APIs, MCP servers, and third-party geospatial services to build cohesive demos
• Collaborate with backend developers to modify or create lightweight backend components using Python
• Design responsive UI components that consider real-world compute and data infrastructure constraints
• Experiment with UX patterns for interacting with embeddings, vector search results, and spatial metadata
• Work closely with AI engineers, researchers, and product leads to ensure seamless technical and user experience integration
• Contribute to the internal playground for evaluating model outputs and vector comparisons
• Participate in rapid testing, feedback, and refinement cycles to validate new features and use cases
