About the Frontend Engineer Role at Bright Network:
Bright Network is seeking a mid-level Frontend Engineer to join the Tech & Product Team, specifically within the B2C squad. This role focuses on crafting user-friendly and accessible interfaces for our student members. The ideal candidate will possess a strong eye for UI detail and a passion for creating elegant and effective user experiences. You will work with React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, with opportunities for experimentation and new product development. The position involves collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers to build frontends that align with our design system and industry best practices. You'll contribute to the improvement of the UK and German platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement user-centric frontends.
- Improve consistency, accessibility, and visual fidelity across both the UK and German platforms.
- Contribute new frontend components aligned with our design system and best practices.
- Help define and enforce best practices for styling, layout, responsiveness, and accessibility.
- Stay updated with emerging frontend techniques and libraries.
Ideal Candidate:
- Frontend engineer with experience in React, TypeScript, and CSS
- Attention to detail and passion for UI
- Experience working closely with designers
- Experience building production-grade applications and scalable frontend systems
- Familiarity with modern tooling (e.g., Vite, Webpack, PostCSS)

Location: This role is based in Edinburgh or fully remote.
Salary: £50,000 - 60,000.
