🚀 Front-end Web Developer Intern (College Students)
Join our innovative team and gain hands-on experience building high-performance web applications. We're looking for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or final-year college students with the grit to learn industry-standard front-end practices and tackle challenges independently!
🎯 What You'll Do
- Turn rough sketches and wireframes into responsive, accessible web interfaces
- Develop and maintain component-based applications using Node.js frameworks (React, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap)
- Collaborate with back-end engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and fine-tune client-side performance
- Troubleshoot basic networking issues in development and staging environments
- Work daily in a Linux command-line environment for local development
👤 Who You Are
- Enrolled in a 1st–final year college program
- Eager to learn and adopt industry-standard front-end development practices and techniques
- Self-driven problem solver who tackles roadblocks without constant handholding
- Strong foundation in JavaScript (ES6+) and Node.js frameworks (React preferred)
- Proven ability to design and implement UIs from simple sketches or mockups
- Comfortable using Linux OS and command-line tools
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid), and responsive design
- Familiar with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing)
- Proficient with Git version control and modern build tools (Webpack, Babel)
🛠️ Must-Have Front-end Skills
- Cross-browser compatibility testing and debugging
- Web accessibility standards (WCAG)
- CSS pre-processors or utility frameworks (Sass, Less)
- Performance optimization (lazy loading, code splitting)
- Client-side testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Mocha)
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
🌟 Nice-to-Have
- Experience with GraphQL or Apollo Client
- Knowledge of state management libraries (Redux, MobX)
- Docker, Dockerfile authoring, Docker Compose, Docker networking basics
- UI/UX fundamentals and design tool experience (Figma, Sketch)
- Understanding of SEO best practices and web analytics
