In this leadership position, you will be instrumental in designing and developing intuitive, high-performance services, fostering alignment across various domains, mentoring your engineering team, and upholding processes that ensure both quality and rapid delivery.
Your impact will be significant:

- Proactively challenge existing processes to accelerate time-to-market through the adoption of best-practice engineering approaches.

- Recruit, lead, manage, retain, and foster the growth of high-performing software engineers.
- Utilize active career growth planning, providing monthly and quarterly feedback to support individual progress.
- Maintain a detailed, granular resource map that outlines developers and their month-over-month work streams.
- Confidently present, influence, and communicate with the senior leadership team.
- Provide regular updates and insights to your manager regarding challenges and opportunities within the Mobility domain.
Experience Required

- A minimum of 6 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in an engineering management capacity.
- Extensive hands-on experience in building and scaling modern, event-driven services.
- Demonstrated success in driving engineering excellence within back-end systems.
- Proven experience partnering with Product, Design, and Backend teams to translate product visions into scalable and maintainable services.
- A solid understanding of security, privacy, and compliance considerations pertinent to payment platforms, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Familiarity with leveraging developer productivity tools, such as automation and AI-assisted development, to enhance code quality, velocity, and consistency.
- Exceptional people leadership skills, encompassing hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development for software engineers.
- The ability to navigate and thrive in ambiguous environments, make well-informed trade-offs, and guide teams through change in a fast-paced organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to influence stakeholders and clearly articulate both technical and non-technical concepts.
- Exposure to analytics tools for tracking customer journeys across applications and translating insights into actionable features.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building high-performance distributed systems at internet-scale companies.
- Experience developing credit card products or solutions within a payment scheme/network.
- Experience working with closed-loop card systems.
