As a Data Engineering Manager at Assent, you will lead and coach your team to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions that address key business problems. You will be responsible for leading a team of data engineering specialists, contributing to the development of products and features for Assent and its clients.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing and engaged data engineering team.
• Coach the team to deliver scalable features aligned with business needs, solving customer problems.
• Coordinate and allocate work, driving project delivery.
• Champion product quality within the team.
• Establish relationships with cross-functional teams (Product Management, UX, QA, Customer Success, and Infrastructure).
• Visualize upcoming work.
• Manage product releases, monitoring progress, and adjusting to meet deadlines.
• Ensure the team adheres to Assent's Design Guidelines, Coding Standards, Security Guidelines, and any architectural guidelines.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in a data-focused role (e.g., data engineering, database development, architecture), with proven leadership experience.
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
• Technical background with experience in AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Python, SQL, and working with large unstructured data and data warehousing technologies.
• Growth mindset and adaptability to change.
• Organizational skills, capable of managing short-term projects and long-term strategies.
• Strategic and business-minded with analytical strengths.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity.
