Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Easyship in Bangalore, India, you'll build and maintain robust data pipelines, warehouses, and services within our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. You'll be responsible for data quality, automation, and enabling data-driven solutions for our SaaS and eCommerce shipping platform. The role involves leveraging AI and modern data stack tools to build an insights layer, driving automation and business impact.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Cloud Composer (Airflow), Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
• Optimize and manage BigQuery for data integrity and performance.
• Implement data transformations using Dataform (DBT).
• Contribute to data services/API infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain data quality checks.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Support machine learning workflows (MLOps).
• Build an AI-driven insights layer.
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of data engineering experience, ideally in SaaS, logistics, or e-commerce.
• Strong SQL proficiency.
• Experience with GCP: BigQuery, Cloud Composer (Airflow), Dataform (DBT), Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
• Experience with data pipeline development and ETL processes.
• Experience with building data services/API infrastructure.
• Experience with MLOps (Vertex AI, Kubeflow, MLflow) is preferable.
• Good communication skills.
