Backend Software Developer

About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated Backend Software Developer with 2–3 years of experience in a product-based company. This remote role involves developing and maintaining scalable backend systems, APIs, and services for our quick commerce/eCommerce platform. Join us in transforming grocery delivery through community-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend systems and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Build and manage APIs (RESTful/GraphQL) to support product functionalities.
• Optimize application performance and database queries for scalability.
• Ensure application reliability, security, and performance standards are met.
• Work with cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure) for hosting and deployment.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and best practices for software development.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and help improve overall system design.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2-3 years of hands-on backend development experience in a product-based company for web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency in backend programming language (Node.js, Java, Python, Go, etc.).
• Experience with frameworks such as Express.js, Spring Boot, or Django.
• Strong understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL – MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Exposure to microservices architecture, APIs, and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) will be a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments.
• Proven ability to prioritize, manage and execute projects with self-starting attitude, responsibility, and accountability
• Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Should be comfortable working in evening shift (from 2pm IST onwards)
