Backend Developer

We are seeking a Mid-Senior Backend Developer, with a focus on Python, to join our Research & Development Team. This role involves developing one of the leading trading platforms in the USA, serving over 200,000 daily online users across various devices.

The technology stack includes Python (with frameworks like Django, Flask, and FastAPI), databases and streaming technologies such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, DynamoDB, and Redis, along with tools like Docker, Airflow, Kubernetes, and Terraform, using AWS as the cloud environment. The role requires experience in building and maintaining scalable services with a strong emphasis on non-functional requirements.

The backend services will be responsible for all trading-related business processes, including order issuance, validation, routing, execution, option price calculation, and reconciliation. We prioritize high performance, low latency, and fault tolerance. Code quality is ensured through careful code reviews and comprehensive testing.

Responsibilities include designing and developing finance services with Python, implementing reporting pipelines, integrating internal/external finance services, troubleshooting and enhancing existing systems, researching and implementing new technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related, 4+ years of Python development experience (FinTech experience a plus), strong understanding of Django, Flask, or FastAPI, and strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves include trading and capital markets background, concurrent programming experience, exposure to distributed systems, Unix/Linux knowledge, and data engineering technologies.
