Backend Developer

Cyberhaven is seeking an experienced backend software engineer in Cluj, Romania to help drive and evolve their product, offering the chance to contribute significantly to the architecture of a rapidly evolving AI-powered data security platform. This role involves designing, extending, and optimizing a large-scale, highly scalable, and fault-tolerant system for processing billions of events from hundreds of thousands of endpoints in real-time, with sub-second latency requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Design, extend, and optimize large-scale systems.
• Architect and implement security products.
• Solve real-world scaling problems.
• Work with a modern microservices-based software stack (Go, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Write secure-by-design software.

Qualifications:

• Strong track record in building and extending backends.
• Experience with Go, Java, C#, Scala, Kotlin, or Rust.
• Experience with large-scale databases and GCP services.
• Experience with profiling and optimizing distributed code.
• Experience with microservices and Kubernetes.
• Excellent English communication skills.
