Backend Developer

As a Backend Developer at Oracle in Bangalore, you will be a key contributor to defining and evolving standard software engineering practices. You will be responsible for specifying, designing, and developing software according to specifications, actively participating in the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant software systems.
• Develop cloud services using OCI infrastructure.
• Participate in all phases of the software lifecycle, from design to production.
• Implement best engineering and operational practices.
• Optimize data processing pipelines for enhanced throughput and lower latencies.
• Utilize internal tooling for software development, deployment, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software design, development, and delivery of scalable products and services.
• Understanding of the product development lifecycle, including technical specifications and architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Java or JVM-based languages.
• Experience with multi-threading and parallel processing.
• Strong knowledge of big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, etc.).
• Experience in building scalable, performant, and secure services/modules.
• Understanding of Micro Services architecture and API design.
• Experience with Container platforms.
• Good understanding of testing methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD technologies.
• Experience with observability tools (Splunk, New Relic, etc.).
• Good understanding of versioning tools (Git/SVN).
