Back End Developer

About the Backend Developer Role

We are seeking a Backend Developer with a strong understanding of data security best practices for a remote internship. You will play a vital role in building secure and scalable APIs and designing secure data flows, collaborating with our front-end Flutter & Swift team to ensure seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure and scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Ensure proper authentication, authorization, data encryption, and secure storage of sensitive information.
• Work closely with Flutter developers & Swift developers to integrate frontend features with backend services.
• Perform regular security audits, code reviews, and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate with DevOps and product teams to deploy and monitor secure backend services.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Maintain database schemas and optimize data access and performance.

Required Skills

• Strong foundation in data security concepts (e.g. encryption, hashing, secure protocols, OWASP practices).
• Proficiency in backend development using Node.js, Python (FastAPI/Django), Go, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with Swift, Flutter, especially in the context of full-stack collaboration.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
• Understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and basic cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, etc.).

Good to Have

• Experience with Swift & Flutter backend integration.
• Awareness of GDPR, HIPAA, or other data privacy regulations.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, WebSockets, or real-time data systems.
