Job Description
A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a full-time, exempt Web Developer for a remote position. This role reports to the Assistant Chief Information Technology Services. The position is remote with a potential base in Mesa, AZ or Kirksville, MO.
Responsibilities:
- Support faculty, staff, and students in using distance and web-based education tools.
- Design, build, and maintain websites using Wordpress and the Google suite.
- Identify, document, analyze, develop, and maintain web-based applications.
- Create/edit HTML content.
- Recommend optimal development of software tools and plugins.
- Liaise with vendors to install and troubleshoot third-party software.
- Ensure the safety of student and employee data in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Design and implement training materials for online education tools.
- Provide technical and design services, and maintenance for educational applications.
Requirements:
- College Degree or Technical School.
- HTML/website design.
- Wordpress.
- JavaScript.
- Google tool suite.
- Ability to translate project visions into working applications.
- Communication and problem-solving skills.
- Full project lifecycle development.
- Understanding of LMS systems and related tools.
Special Characteristics:
The ideal candidate must be able to work cooperatively, be a team player, and manage multiple projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to communicate technical information. A positive, creative attitude is essential.
